Latest News

COPE: The COPE behavioral parent training program has been implemented in 5 UIBH agencies. COPE is evidenced-practice designed to improve parenting practices and reduce problem behaviors among children with disruptive behaviors such as ADHD and oppositional defiant-disorder. The model has since been implemented in agencies throughout New York City by DOHMH.

The Diabetes Co-Morbidity Initiative (DCI): UIBH is coordinating a NYS Health Foundation funded initiative that addresses the needs of adults with serious mental illness and Co-morbid type II diabetes.

Multiple Family Groups (MFG ) UIBH is participating with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in a research study that examines the effectiveness of the multiple family treatment model for children with disruptive behaviors and their families.

Smoking Cessation Initiative: UIBH is sponsoring a smoking cessation initiative in collaboration with Clubhouse Collective to reduce smoking in UIBH member agencies.
